Joe (Nō Ngāti Awa, Ngai Te Rangi, Ngāti Maniapoto) is a Toi Māori Master of Ceremonies, Pou whakahaere mo te komiti Awhi Tikanga, International Storyteller extraordinaire, crooner mo nga manu o te ngahere, kairakuraku mo nga whetu o te atamira, kaihoe o nga kaihoe, hoa piri pono o nga hoa!
Arguably the most experienced and travelled Māori storyteller in the world today. Joe has been travelling the world and sharing our stories for the last 36 years! Joe is responsible for mentoring our storytellers. He also shares his knowledge and experiences within the Māori storytelling workshops that we deliver. Joe is a founding member of Te Reo Wainene o Tua’ whom are a collective of oral storytellers whom tell only in te reo.
